Indian Grocery Stores in Delaware
Delaware is not short of Indian grocery stores.
When we moved to the state 15 years back, there were just two Indian grocery stores (alas Taj Mahal and Spice Mahal are long gone).
Now there are at least 10 stores that peddle Indian grocery, spices, snacks and frozen food.
From Maggie Noodles to Basmati rice to Priya pickles, LG hing, and Hamam soap, there's no Indian product that you can't get in New Castle, Wilmington or Newark.
One distressing aspect of the Indian stores in Delaware is that I find the prices to be unacceptably higher compared to New Jersey and the quality not so good (on several occasions, I've been sold expired or stale products that I discovered only on reaching home).
