Delaware Indian Associations


The Indian community in Delaware is not as vibrant as in other states like Texas, New Jersey, California etc.

One reason is the small size of the Indian community in Delaware.

The second reason is the temporary nature of a lot of Indian residents in Delaware.

Many Indian computer professionals from Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu and other parts of India come to Delaware on short-duration projects at DuPont, Astrazeneca, Barclays Bank, Bank of America, JP Morgan Chase etc. and leave the state upon the completion of their contracts.

Despite the small number of Indians in Delaware, there are multiple Indian community groups in the state. Except for holding one or two events in a year, these associations seem to be in a moribund state.
